В монографии раскрыты сущность, особенности, формы, роль и основные направления использования достижений научно-технического прогресса в сельском хозяйстве. Систематизированы факторы, определяющие возможность применения новшеств в производстве в современный период. Обобщен отечественный и зарубежный опыт государственного регулирования НТП. Представлены результаты комплексной оценки состояния ресурсного потенциала, уровня и условий использования новшеств в сельхозорганизациях Вологодской области. Монография представляет собой оригинальное морфологическое и технологическое исследование органов и тканей африканского страуса, рассмотренных в контексте концепции глубокой переработки продукции страусоводства. Морфологические данные представляют интерес для решения фундаментальных задач биологии, в том числе адаптаций органов и тканей животных к условиям обитания. Приведен краткий обзор данных литературы по разным аспектам биологии африканского страуса. Выявленные технологические характеристики органов и тканей, рассмотренных в качестве сырья для промышленности, перерабатывающей продукцию страусоводческих хозяйств, рассматриваются с учетом ресурсосберегающей мотивации и возможной переработки в промышленных условиях. Поскольку основной продукцией страусоводства, приносящей наиболее ощутимый доход, является страусовое кожевенное сырье и перья, особое место отведено исследованию морфологии кожно-перьевого покрова страуса. С разной степенью детализации раскрываются морфологические особенности и технологические аспекты практически всего спектра продукции страусоводства (кожи, подкожного жира, перьев, когтей, мышечной ткани, скорлупы яиц, трахеи, пищевода, глаз, мозга). В краткой форме дан анализ истории (вплоть до настоящего времени) страусоводства, прошедшего несколько этапов своего становления и развития. Обсуждены экономические предпосылки, лежащие в основе концепции ресурсосбережения в страусоводстве.

Historically, the conservation of forests and wildlife has focused on the creation of national parks and reserves.
